I have a komatsu d65E with a rebuilt powershift tranny. Before the work was done I was able to push for about a hour before the machine would loss power not able to move and the tranny was getting very hot. After I put the tanny back in after being rebuilt it is still doing the same thing. The fluid are fine in fact i have to much in the tranny. Is there another problem that may be causing it. HELP!!!
Just a few ideas that might help, get the tranny at the right oil level, to much oil will cause over heating, make sure the dip stick is the correct one, and not one from a different model, causing an over full situation, and correct oil grade. If the tranny has been overhauled that would leave the torque converter as maybe the problem, may be the charge pump worn, they may also have a suction screen in the bottom of the torqueconverter housing that may be blocked. Blocked radiator/heatexchanger fins or core could cause heating problems as well as loose fan belts, hope this is of some help and your problem is not to serious.
